PayPal - odd message

Customer made a purchase through the cart and onto via PayPal. Payment went through ok but when but the customer logged in it says that there is no purchases associated with the account. Anyone know what this is about? The PayPal message that came back has this in the first line “The following post was received from PayPal with a status other than VERIFIED or INVALID.”

The site owner says that they have made no changes to their PayPal account so I don’t know where to look as this site is a good few years old and is ticking alone nicely until now. There was another transaction with exactly the same problem.

Any thought where to start checking?

I should also have said that this is a digital delivery product just in case it's of any significance.

Hi,

Please ask your client to check if they see anything on their paypal account . ( I would believe they should see the status message for that attempt.

Hi Oli,

Thanks for the reply. I've contacted the client twice and there is nothing that seems to be there that's different to any other transaction. I have a screen shot of his account and can send this to you but nothing looks out amiss.

Any reason for my last 2 posts being ignored? Frustrated at the lack of response especially after being a customer for so many years.

Hi,

Please, keep in mind that this is a user-to-user forum.

For issues that you need tracking of, it is best if you submit a support ticket.Even then, you should always allow time for proper review by our Support team. We try to reply to tickets as soon as possible, but depending on workload we might not always reply on the spot.

If your client cannot find anything amiss with the PayPal account, or detect what is the actual status sent by PayPal, there isn't much we can check from that.

Is this still happening ? Is there anything in common with the transactions that experienced this issue ?

Please, do submit a support ticket including the pertinent info.
