I have the same issue and have spent the past 2 days tirelessly trying to resolve it with no luck.  James and I have GoDaddy as our host in common.  The 4 long phone calls with GoDaddy have yielded nothing less than frustration as they keep on saying nothing has changed on their side and that it must be Cartweaver.  I suspect different, but don't know how to prove them wrong.

My client is freaked out because he feels he is loosing sales due to the missing product images and "a broken website makes him look really bad in the marketplace".

so it looks like everything is pointing to the correct place.

i also tried loading a fresh, clean install of CW 3.1.16 and am getting the same results on multiple GoDaddy accounts.

does anyone have a better suggestion for a new host?  can anyone provide some feedback from their experiences with host gator and/or media temple?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tommy,

I just sent you back a reply to the support ticket you had created.

In any case, something must have changed . In any given website,  the following things can change:

a) Files
b) Database
c) Server

If a website works, and then it doesn't .. then one of those 3 have changed.

So .. even as silly as it may sound, double and triple check that you haven't change any files.
Also, check that you haven't made any DB changes that might alter the functionality ( On the support ticket, I noted that the error you mention has a cw3 folder in it.. but your specific site seems to have a different folder name )

Finally , if none of the above apply ... then it must be the server. 

If it IS the server, and the hosting company refuses to acknowledge it ... you might want to try upload that very same site to a different server just to be 100% sure.   If it DOES work, you might get them to admit they have changed something .. or, otherwise, you might want to consider switching companies.

I am sorry you had to go through all that with GoDaddy  ( I wish GoDaddy had listened to me in the first place !   I *knew* it was them !   )
